My first time trying a tuna steak was embarrassingly I’m only a year ago when I went to Croatia! A few weeks ago I tried my hand at making it myself and I finally nailed the recipe! Crisis wise while the general frozen section is pretty empty at the grocery store near me, no one has touched the frozen fish section! And yes frozen tuna works perfectly. Pre-social distancing I asked for some tuna at the fresh counter and the worker told me what they had on display was the exact same thing as a frozen stuff.

kcalIngredients
1 tuna filet (mine weighed 5.6oz raw)
2 tbsp soy sauce
Everything but the bagel seasoning
1 container @micaclenoodle angel hair pasta
85g broccoli slaw
50g diced bell peppers
15g Ghughes Sugar Free orange marinade
80g Ghughes sweet chili dipping sauce
1 package Marukome Tofu Miso Soup
Directions
- If your tuna is frozen, place it in the fridge the night before
- Wait your tuna then add 1 tablespoon soy sauce and everything but the bagel seasoning to a bag with the tuna and that marinade for about 15 minutes. I let it sit in the fridge for a few hours
- When it’s closer to meal time, rinse the miracle noodles and sauté in a large pan for two minutes
- Add broccoli slaw, peppers and spices then sauté for a few minutes, then cover and cook on low
- Heat up a pan for the tuna. You need it scorching hot to sear the tuna quickly. After a few minutes, placed the tuna on the pan
- Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side. The edges should start to turn a cream color
- Well the tuna cooks at the last tablespoon soy sauce and the G Hughes sweet chili sauce to the noodle mixture
- Remove from heat, cut the tuna and serve with a side of dipping sauce and miso soup
