Chocolate Hummus Protein Brownies

The secret ingredient to these fudgey protein brownies is chocolate hummus!

I’ve tried chickpea brownies before, but it’s such a pain to blend up the chickpeas.

These brownies can be made in one bowl so there’s less mess!

The chocolate hummus helps keep the brownies moist without making it taste like chickpeas. Each brownie is only 100 calories, making this a perfect healthy snack or dessert.

You can find chocolate flavored hummus at most grocery stores now!

IMPORTANT: The first time I made these brownies I used a chocolate hummus I found at my grocery store (HEB). With that particular hummus, the brownies came out to 99 calories each.

NOW, I’ve discovered that Trader Joe’s has a chocolate hummus that’s even lower calorie/fat than the HEB brand. Since Trader Joe’s is more widely available across the country, I changed the macros to reflect that. That’s why in the above picture & original recipe post above it says 99 calories and in the recipe below it says 77 calories to reflect the new type of hummus.
