🤩BUTTERMILK PROTEIN SCONES🤩 . 😱Y’all. I can’t even. These taste & smell just like real scones AND are only 240 cals each. I will admit that texture wise they aren’t identical to a normal scone chock full of the normal butter and heavy cream that gives them their flakiness, BUT this is a version you could eat every day guilt free! @pamcakespancakes Buttermilk mix is KEY for the flavor here & my code ⭐️emyogifit⭐️ will save you 10% on any order! . 🍞Nutrition per scone: 🔷240 cals ▪️17P ▪️9F ▪️26C . 🥞Ingredients: -37g/1 serving @pamcakespancakes Classic Buttermilk Pancakes Mix (code=emyogifit) -10g All Purpose Flour -1g or 1/2 tsp baking powder -1-2g stevia. (Or roughly a packet & a half) -40g Non-fat Greek yogurt -5g Light Butter (DO NOT MELT) -7g mini chocolate chips . 👩🏼‍🍳INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat oven to 350 & line a baking sheet with parchment paper 2. Mix all of your dry ingredients together in a small bowl. (Pancake mix, flour, baking powder, stevia) 3. Add your Greek yogurt & gently stir in until it’s 80% mixed. The secret to scones is NOT overmixing so less IS more here. 💁🏼‍♀️ 4. Butter. IF you have the time FREEZE your butter overnight. Otherwise measure out your 5g in a separate dish & then cut it up with a spoon into small chunks before adding it to your batter 5. MIX. BUT NOT TOO MUCH. Butter chunks are good!!😍 6. Add Chocolate chips. (Or blueberries yum) (Swipe ➡️to see a picture of how sticky/chunky/lightly mixed your dough should look) 7. Drop onto the parchment paper lined pan. I used the spoon to shape it into a triangle.🔺 8. Bake for 10-15 minutes until it starts to turn golden 🤓My Notes: – Swipe to see an experiment I did to see the difference between cold and frozen butter. The frozen butter had a more scone-like texture – OVERMIXING will not affect the flavor of the scone, but it will affect the texture and overall fluffiness of the scone. You do not want a smooth batter. 🙅🏼‍♀️ – It might seem like the small amount of Greek yogurt isn’t enough, but be patient when you are mixing, it is more than enough I promise! 😋 – These are also good eaten the day after! I kept mine in the fridge & then zapped it in the microwave
